Spy thriller 'Out in the Cold', goes into preproduction.

The first instalment of the Miles Fisher spy series of films, introduces the audience to Miles Fisher in this tense claustrophobic thriller.

The first script has gone through several iterations before deciding on a Hitchcockian style game of cat and mouse in this grounded indie spy thriller.

A retired spy must protect a courier who is witness to a murder, so she can return a diplomatic pouch. Both are pursued by hitmen, leading to a tense, high-stakes game of hide-and-seek across one of the most surveilled cities in the world.

The film marks actor Matt E Hudson's feature directorial debut, but also first leading role in a feature film, with the entire production to be shared through social media, sharing pre-production, filming and post.

This is a collaborative micro production, to test the limits of mobile cinematography to create a nail biting chase thriller through London. By sharing the journey of it's production the hope is to build an audience for it, but also compiling photos and a record of production for a 'making of book' to release with the film.

The cinematography will be in the style of old European cinema while taking a nod from classic thrillers of the 90s.

Filming is due to take place on a staggered shoot between July and October, in live locations in London.

The following roles are being cast or crewed -

Casting:

Co-lead role

• Dana Tessier - (25 - 30 years) A courier used as an asset to deliver intelligence with no knowledge as to what she is carrying. She’s a civilian who gets caught up in the wrong place, wrong time.

Supporting role

• Ingrid - (30 to 40 years) An icy Swedish looking individual, one third of the hit team sent to retrieve the diplomatic pouch. Ingrid has a cold expression, but can easily change face from girl next door, to femme fatale, to violent killer.

  
  

• Janssen - (30 years to 40 years) Tall Swedish looking assassin, another member of the hit team sent to retrieve the diplomatic pouch. Janssen is a very imposing figure, this is someone who can just look at you and he’ll own you. Must be 6ft or taller.

Minor supporting role

• Hitman #3 - (27 - 35 years) One of the assassins sent to intercept the diplomatic pouch.

  
  

• Harry - (35 - 40 years) Dana's contact for the diplomatic pouch, he is murdered by Hitman #3.

Film Crew:

• DoP - Experience with mobile filmmaking as we'll be using the iphone17 Pro camera.

• Sound recordist - With wrieless recording equipment would be an adavantage for this agile production.

• Hair and makeup - Experience at doing injury and blood effects.

• Editor - Experience editor with Adobe Premier Pro and editing mobile cinematography.
